PROBLEM

Dezino started working with Peter back in December 2021 where they were not sure if they could keep the business open for much longer as it was not generating enough return. Specifically they were relying too much on returning customers which they weren't frequent enough of and needed to get new eyeballs.

The challenge the bakery was facing was to get people to make the trip and visit the shop. The objective was to get people to enter the store because once they entered they were very likely to buy something and from there be repeat customers and spread the word. The target audience was people 3 km within the Oshawa/Durham region as well neighbouring cities like Whitby and Pickering typically aged 30 and above.

Honest Louie’s Bakery is a small but beautiful Mom & Pop Greek Bakery in the Oshawa Durham Region known for its amazing bakery products with great pricing. We were introduced by their Son Peter who helps run the shop.

solution / how we helped

Before Dezino no graphic designs were created and everything was just raw photos. Additionally there was no digital menu for the bakery, only a flyer which only people who actually visited the shop could view. Dezino created graphic designs and videos for the ads and created a Menu on their Facebook Page so that viewers could see the different offerings and pricings the Bakery had making them more likely to take a visit if they see’d something they like.

 

Thus, Dezino helped by creating, running and managing Facebook & Instagram ads in addition to distributing flyers around the community. Despite only having a budget of $500-$1000 per month on Facebook Ads Dezino was able to efficiently make use of every penny to extract the most customers possible. Careful attention to detail was put towards targeting the right audience within and nearby the Durham region as well as the ways of targeting them in ways to captivate them to make a visit. For example Dezino took advantage of the Bakery’s strong customer service and existing customers to generate a lot of comments/engagement. 

 

By doing so, trust was built when new eyeballs in the area came across the ad resulting in greater foot traffic to the store. With more traffic the customer service and products were able to do the rest of the talking to convert the traffic into customers and ultimately repeat customers. This also comes with the advantage of word of mouth effect (referral marketing) that comes with new customers.

RESULTS AFTER DEZINO

With the help of Dezino HLB went from a struggling business in December 2021 breaking record sales repeatedly in December 2022. Dezino helped them not only get business back into a position of keeping it open but also helped them break previous sales records they used to have and now they do well organically and we have moved on to helping Peter's other businesses like Stitched Legends.
